Center for Traumatic Stress

Severe trauma and victimization produce dramatic changes in individuals' self-concepts and views of the world. The Center for Traumatic Stress is committed to providing the highest quality professional services for person who have been exposed, directly or indirectly, to severe traumatic stress.

The following services are available to individuals, families, agencies and community groups.

  • Individual psychotherapy and support for adult and adolescent trauma survivors
  • Counseling for family members and trauma survivors
  • Specialized psychotherapy groups
  • Couples and family therapy
  • Community crisis intervention
  • Diagnostic Assessment
  • Individual and group treatment for mental health professionals
Additionally, we can provide consultation and training to other health or mental health professionals, agencies and organizations including:
  • In service training
  • Experiential workshops to developing helping skills for specific populations
  • Case consultation and ongoing clinical supervision
  • Workshops addressing the needs of staff working with trauma victims
  • Critical incident stress training and intervention for emergency services personnel and other helpers
  • Program planning and evaluation
  • Research design and implementation
